Hi friends!
I’m Philadelphia dentist Dr. Richard Eidelson, founder of Premier Dentist Philadelphia. When I’m not crafting beautiful, healthy smiles, I like to take in everything this city has to offer. Philly is more than just where I work. It’s where I live, explore, and get inspired. Whether it’s a walk through Old City, a Phillies game, or a bite at a tucked-away food stand, there’s something here for everyone.
So today, I’m stepping out of the dental chair for a moment to share a few of my favorite spots that make this city truly shine. Below are some of my favorites spots in the city.
Stepping Back in Time at Independence National Historical Park

There’s something powerful about standing on the same cobblestone streets where our country began. Every time I visit Independence Hall or catch a glimpse of the Liberty Bell, I’m reminded why Philly’s history is more than just textbook material, it’s personal. You feel it here. It’s a city built on big ideas and bold moves.
Immersing in Art at the Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is a must-see—not just for what’s inside (which is incredible), but for the vibe that surrounds it. Climbing the famous “Rocky Steps” never gets old. It’s an excellent metaphor for the city itself: tough, determined, and full of heart. Inside, you’ll find an incredible collection that spans cultures, continents, and centuries. It’s the kind of place that makes you pause and see the world in a slightly different light.
Savoring the Flavors of Reading Terminal Market

Let’s talk food. Reading Terminal Market is a sensory playground—warm pretzels, sizzling cheesesteaks, and the best apple dumplings you’ve ever had. I like to stop by between patients or on a slow afternoon to take it all in. Whether you’re craving something local or looking to try something new, there’s no shortage of delicious surprises here.
Catching a Game at Citizens Bank Park

There’s nothing like a summer evening at Citizen’s Bank Park. I’ve cheered for the Phillies with generations of fans, and that energy is pure Philly – passionate, loud, and proud. Grab a soft pretzel, root for the home team, and soak in the skyline. Even if baseball’s not your thing, the atmosphere alone is worth the trip.
Find Tranquility in Fairmount Park

When life gets busy (and let’s face it, it does), I love to unwind in Fairmount Park. It’s one of those rare places that feels far away from the noise, even though it’s right in the middle of the city. I’ll take a jog on the trail or sit by the river and watch the world slow down for a moment. The view from the Water Works is also something special.
Every Day’s an Adventure in Philly
One of the reasons I love being a dentist here is that every day feels like a new chapter. Whether it’s welcoming a new patient or discovering a cool café, Philly keeps surprising me in the best ways.
And that’s the spirit we bring into our care at Premier Dentist Philadelphia. Every smile we restore or enhance isn’t just about teeth—it’s about helping people live boldly, laugh often, and show up with confidence. So, whether you’re new in town or a lifelong local, know that you’ve got a dentist here who cares deeply about this city and the people in it.
Ready to feel good about your smile again? We’d be honored to help.
