Happy Patients
“Dr Eidelson is the absolute best. One of my Veneers broke from my overbite and last minute on a Friday and holiday weekend, stopped his plans and met me at the office in 1 hour. He made sure I was comfortable, and fixed my tooth with no problem at all. He is very caring and goes above and beyond for me every visit. He worries almost as if they are his own teeth and I could not ask for a better dentist!!!”

Since then he has been my primary dentist and has consistently provided extraordinary care. Unlike most other types of dentistry, cosmetic dentistry isn’t primarily focused on protecting or improving your oral health. Instead, cosmetic procedures improve the appearance of your teeth and the balance of your smile – such as eliminating stains, reshaping teeth, fixing gaps between teeth, repairing minor chips, and much more.
Since it’s affordable and non-invasive, teeth whitening is one of the most common cosmetic dentistry procedures. Some other common procedures include dental veneers, dental bonding, and gum reshaping/contouring. Orthodontic treatments like Invisalign also are sometimes used for cosmetic purposes, as are some restorative procedures like dental crowns and implants.
The primary focus of cosmetic dentistry is on enhancing your appearance. However, many cosmetic procedures have other benefits. Invisalign, for example, can straighten your teeth. With a straighter smile, it’s easier to brush and floss, food is less likely to get stuck between your teeth, and your improved bite alignment will help reduce wear and tear on your smile.
This is very procedure-specific. For example, treatments like teeth whitening or dental bonding offer immediate results, while orthodontic treatments like Invisalign may require up to 12-18 months for treatment.
Veneers and crowns typically take two or three weeks, but dentists who use in-office CAD/CAM technology like CEREC can sometimes offer same-day treatment since they can build dental restorations without working with an outside dental lab.
As long as your teeth are healthy, yes! Almost anyone with a healthy mouth can qualify to enhance their appearance with cosmetic dentistry. However, if your mouth is not healthy, you will need additional treatment before you can undergo cosmetic dentistry at Premier Dentist Philadelphia.
