The Benefits Of Dental Veneers

Not sure if veneers are the right choice for you? There are lots of options for cosmetic dentistry at our office, and each patient has different needs and preferences. But if porcelain veneers are right for you, they have some fantastic benefits, including:

How veneers work

What Is the Procedure Like?

Interested in getting porcelain veneers in Center City? Wondering what to expect from your treatment at Premier Dentist Philadelphia? Here’s a quick overview of the process.

01.

Cosmetic Consultation & Evaluation

First, you’ll come in for a visit with Dr. Eidelson. He’ll examine your mouth, make sure your teeth are healthy, and have an honest discussion with you about your smile. How do you feel about your teeth? What makes you self-conscious? What are your smile goals? Together, you and Dr. Eidelson can determine if veneers are right for your own unique situation.

02.

Veneer Preparation & Fitting

Once you’re approved for veneers, you’ll come back for a follow-up visit. Dr. Eidelson will clean your teeth and numb your mouth, then use a dental drill to remove a very thin layer of enamel from each tooth that’s getting a veneer. This is done to make sure your new teeth fit into your mouth perfectly. Once that’s done, he’ll take a digital impression of your teeth. Dr. Eidelson will send this impression to our partner dental lab, where a technician will craft your new, lifelike veneers. You’ll be sent home with a set of temporary veneers to protect your teeth.

03.

Final Placement

It typically takes 2-3 weeks for your veneers to be built and sent back to our Philadelphia cosmetic dentistry practice. Once they arrive, you’ll come back to our office to have them permanently attached to your teeth. Dr. Eidelson will remove your temporary veneers, clean your teeth, and then use powerful dental cement to attach each veneer to your tooth.

For qualifying patients, we also offer Lumineers. They offer the same cosmetic benefits as traditional veneers, but are extremely thin and require little to no removal of your natural enamel.

Results That Keep Your Smile Bright For Years To Come

One of the biggest benefits of veneers is that they can last 10-20 years or longer with proper care. Not only that, but they’re completely invulnerable to staining. That’s because unlike your natural enamel, they are made from completely nonporous, stain-resistant ceramic materials. With such long-lasting results, your investment in veneers will pay off for years and decades to come. And with a variety of payment plans available at Premier Dentist Philadelphia, you can get the smile you’ve always wanted without high up-front costs.

Definitely, especially if you only have one tooth that needs cosmetic treatment! After your first visit with Dr. Eidelson, he can help you choose the best treatment to reach your smile goals.

No. Like most other cosmetic dental procedures, veneers are considered to be an elective treatment and are not typically covered by insurance. However, we do offer financing options to help you get the smile you’ve always wanted!

Veneers are just as strong as your natural teeth. But, like your natural teeth, they can be damaged by things like nail biting, using your teeth as “tools,” teeth grinding, and other habits.

No! As long as your mouth is healthy, you can get veneers. However, teenagers and young adults will need to wait until their mouths are fully developed – typically in the late teens or early twenties.

Dr. Eideslon will match your veneers to the natural color of your teeth to ensure a seamless result.

No! Veneers are non-porous, so they cannot be stained and will maintain their original color throughout their lifespan.

No. Ceramic materials do not respond to teeth whitening products. If you want a brighter smile, it’s a good idea to have your teeth whitened before Dr. Eidelson matches your veneers to your natural teeth!

Not at all. Your veneers will fit into your mouth just like natural teeth. Once you adjust to them, they will not affect your speech at all.

No. The enamel removed during tooth preparation can’t be replaced, so veneers are not reversible. However, they do have a very long lifespan and are just as strong as your “original” teeth.
